Charges laid in connection to Nanoose Bay break-in/sexual assault
PARKSVILLE — A man accused of a sexual assault following a break-in at a Nanoose Bay home has been charged, while Oceanside Mounties are trying to re-arrest him.
Charges of sexual assault, assault with a weapon, break and enter and obstructing police were applied against Quinten Anthony Meyer on August 5 in connection with a July 30 incident in the Morello Rd. area, Oceanside RCMP announced.
An arrest warrant for the 27-year-old Meyer accompanied the approval of charges, police noted.
Meyer was arrested the day of the alleged incident and later released with a promise to appear in court as charges had not been laid at the time.
