Man wanted for crimes in Kelowna may be living in Nanaimo

NANAIMO — RCMP are looking for a wanted man from the interior who may be living and working in Nanaimo.

Police say 27-year-old Darius Konefall-Townsend is wanted on charges of assault and mischief stemming from an alleged incident in Kelowna last year.

However, police believe Konefall-Townsend may be currently working and living in Nanaimo.

Konefall-Townsend is described as a Caucasian man, 5’11”, 150 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

He is also associated with a white pickup truck with B.C. plates VL1967 with ladders attached to the roof.

Anyone with information on Konefal Townsend’s whenabouts is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.

Konefall-Townsend was charged with assault and mischief under $5,000 for an alleged incident in Kelowna on Feb. 27 of last year.

Court records showed he was granted bail for the offences on July 6, however, he then missed a July 13 court appearance and then warrants were then issued for his arrest.
