Serial pedophile Shaun Pater charged again

Serial sexual predator Shawn Pater has been charged again with sex offenses against minors.

The 45-year old has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and other charges involving children under 14 and 16.

Port Alberni RCMP say Pater has also been charged with trafficking of persons under the age of 18 years.

Terrance Houbregs and Wayne Moore were also charged with 6 counts involving sexual offences on minors.

Police say the began investigating the men 5 years ago.

Pater was released on January 8th on $500 bail and ordered to stay away from anyone under 16 years old.

Pater has been jailed 5 times for having sexual relations with minors and was deemed a high risk to reoffend.

He was last jailed in 2015 for possession of child pornography after he was caught printing out pictures of a 10 year old girl he had been sexting with.
