Clipper netminder takes top prize at annual awards event
NANAIMO — The Clippers celebrated their season and remarkable playoff run with an awards ceremony and gathering of mostly team billets and volunteers.
The Tuesday, May 26, celebration came just a few days removed from the end of the team’s playoff run, which ended in Brooks on Friday, May 22, and featured speeches and a short video shown at the event at Wolf Brewing in Nanaimo.
The awards were highlighted by Eliot Seguin-Lescarbeau winning team MVP, while Jack Rimmer and Indiana Grossbard were both multiple award-winners.
Rimmer won the first ever Gary Dorland Memorial Award for his outstanding contributions to the club on and off the ice.
