Alberni election candidates announced

Six people are vying for the Port Alberni Mayor’s chair while 12 people are running for one of six seats on city council.

Incumbent Mayor Sharie Minions is trying for a third term as Mayor while councillors Charles Mealey and Todd Patola are also competing for the seat.
Don Davidson, Sukdev Krishan and Don Tecson round out the list.

There are 14 candidates running for regional district areas, and 13 running for the 7 School District seats.

Voters in Cherry Creek will also be voting on whether to spend $25,000 on their community hall.
