Nanaimo’s Maffeo Sutton Park shines during ‘Lighting a Path’ public art exhibit
NANAIMO — A month-long public art exhibit is lighting up paths in the city’s most popular parks.
In partnership with the Snuneymuxw First Nation (SFN), the City is inviting residents down to Sway-a-Lana at Maffeo Sutton Park after the sun sets to check out the ‘Lighting a Path’ art exhibit.
Seven large-scale light projections will be positioned around the park, displaying artwork on the paths created by local SFN artists.
The projections were installed on Monday, Feb. 16, and will be in place until March 16th.
