Two men hospitalized after assault

Two men are in hospital suffering serious injuries after a mid-day alley-way fight off 4th Avenue.

Police were called shortly after noon on Tuesday and found a 67-year old man with injuries.

They were unable to find a reported second victim, who had managed to get himself to West Coast General Hospital.

The 64-year old man suffered more significant injuries and was transported to a regional hospital for further treatment.

A 38-year old suspect was arrested, charged with Aggravated Assault and released on several conditions.

The attack happened just 3 days after another man suffered serious stab wounds in a different area of 4th Avenue.

In both cases Police say the victims and suspect are known to each other and they do not have concern for public safety, but the investigations are ongoing.
