Clippers open season with 6-3 victory over Capitals
NANAIMO — The Clippers won their fourth straight season opener by beating Cowichan Valley 6-3.
The Capitals were up 2-0 six minutes into the game on markers by Luke Lavery and Matteo Lamoureux.
Joel Plante cut into the lead with the first tally of the Clippers season but Darrius Bachler gave the visiting Caps a 3-1 lead before the end of the first period.
From then on Nanaimo took over the game.
