‘A thank you to our community:’ Cedar Farmers Market celebrating 30 years
NANAIMO — The Cedar Farmers Market is celebrating a special milestone this weekend: 30 years of local community building.
In addition to over 100 vendors, food trucks and artisans, organizers have planned a collection of free, family activities on Sunday, June 28, including bouncy castles, a carnival game, live music and entertainment, as well as free face painting.
Market executive director Kate Poirier told NanaimoNewsNOW it’s a chance to celebrate the people who’ve allowed the market to thrive year after year.
“It’s just meant to be a thank you to our community and to the families by making something accessible and free to access and to hang out with our community.”
