Violent offender wanted by Nanaimo & Port Alberni RCMP

NANAIMO — Local Mounties are on the lookout for a man with a violent criminal history.

Peter Anthony Alexander, 38-years-old, is the subject to multiple police investigations in both Nanaimo and Port Alberni, stemming from his alleged criminal activity.

A warrant active in Port Alberni comes from February 2022 where police say Alexander was in possession of an amount of illegal drugs and a replica handgun.

He was released from custody but failed to comply with the conditions of his release. He has not been located since.

Alexander also has a criminal history in Nanaimo, across central Vancouver Island, in the Lower Mainland and east Kootenays.

Police consider Alexander to be violent with a prior criminal record dating back to the early 2000’s leading to multiple jail tenures.

Previous convictions range from drug trafficking trafficking, property crimes, firearms offences, and multiple breaches of court orders.

Upcoming court appearances for Alexander are scheduled in Nanaimo and Port Alberni.

Nanaimo RCMP describe Alexander as 5’10” tall, around 150 pounds with dark brown hair and blue eyes. The picture provided and included in this story is recent.
