COVID-19 outbreak at Nanaimo long-term care home expands with additional case

NANAIMO β The outbreak at a Nanaimo long-term care home has grown.
Island Health announcing around 6 p.m. on Jan. 1, 2021 an additional case of COVID-19 was discovered at the Chartwell Malaspina Care Residence.
Six cases were confirmed since the Christmas weekend.
The new case is in a separate unit as the first five, but both are within the first floor of the care home.
