EARLIER — Police are asking for any and all help finding a missing Nanaimo man who’s suffering from significant personal difficulties.

RCMP Cst. Gary O’Brien said Jason John Schnurr, 28, was last seen leaving his Nanaimo home at 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 2.

“The family is extremely worried for his safety and well being,” O’Brien said. “Jason is going through a very difficult patch right now and we need to find him.”

O’Brien said Schnurr’s cell phone was pinged to south of town but it’s now off and he could be anywhere.

Schnurr took off in his grey 2014 Dodge pickup truck, license plate MR5 121.

He’s white, five-foot-10 weighing 170 pounds with short brown hair.

Anyone who seen Schnurr or his truck is urged to immediately call Nanaimo RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
