Parksville residents being asked for budget input
PARKSVILLE – The City of Parksville continues to fine tune their next budget.
Last fall, a preliminary budget was approved by council that included a proposed 4 per cent tax increase and staff are now hoping to get some feedback from residents on the spending plan.
According to the city’s Debbie Tardiff, they’d like to get that ahead of a pair of budget meetings March 15 and March 29.
“We would love to have their comments and suggestions in advance of the meetings so that council can consider them,” said Tardiff. “There’s a number of ways that people can do that. They can go on the web site and we have a contact box and they can put their comments in there. They can do it on facebook or twitter.”
