Tempo all-star guard Mabrey out for rest of season with right adductor injury

TORONTO — The Toronto Tempo announced Wednesday that all-star guard Marina Mabrey will miss the rest of the 2026 WNBA season with a right adductor injury.

The Tempo say Mabrey is expected to make a full recovery and will not need surgery.

The announcement was not unexpected. Mabrey has been sidelined since scoring 22 points in an Aug. 18 game against the Indiana Fever. The expansion Tempo have long since been eliminated from playoff contention and have just four games remaining.

Mabrey averaged a career-high 20.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 0.9 steals through 32 games this season and was named a league all-star for the first time.
