PARSKVILLE — Despite extensive efforts, searchers have been unsuccessful in finding any sign of a woman missing since mid-February.

Sara Sherry, 45, was last seen the evening of Feb. 15 driving onto the logging roads off NW Bay Logging Rd., near Hwy. 19.

She was officially reported missing two days later.

Sherry’s vehicle was then located around 20 kilometres south of Hwy. 19 roughly a week later, however no trace of her was found.

“Multiple air and ground searches leading from the area where Sara Sherry’s vehicle was located have not been successful in locating Sara and no further searches are planned,” Oceanside RCMP Sgt. Shane Worth said via a statement on the detachment’s website.

Investigators previously told NanaimoNewsNOW there’s been a complete void of information regarding Sherry’s disappearance.

Her cell phone, bank accounts and other trackable elements connected to Sherry have all been completely inactive, with friends and family having no contact with her since Feb. 15.

“Our missing person investigation remains open and active with Sara’s family receiving ongoing updates from investigators and support from Victim Services,” Worth added.

Anyone with information about Sherry’s whereabouts, who hasn’t already contacted police, should contact the Oceanside RCMP detachment at 250-248-6111, quoting file number 2024-1484.
