Playing in his first BCHL game, Simone Dadie evened the game with a shot from the left wing that fooled Tyler Hodges early in the middle frame.

Then in a span of a minute and seven seconds Deturris and Joel Plante vaulted Nanaimo in front 4-2.

Christian Maro connected late in the period with a shot that looped off Hodges glove to make it 4-3.

In the third period Nanaimo scored twice in 58 seconds to take control of the contest.

Chase Hull beat Owen Crudale for his first BCHL goal and Michael Murtagh followed that with his team leading 14th.

A late man advantage goal by Powell River’s Zander Stewart capped off the scoring.

Nanaimo outshot the Kings 33-28 while going 0/4 on the power play and 2/4 killing penalties.

Fourteen different players had a point for the Clippers as the team ended the night with 107 goals, the most in the BCHL.
