NANAIMO — Say hello to Splinter!

Splinter is a one-year-old white and grey rat who’s a recent addition to the Nanaimo SPCA.

This scruffy-looking friendly fella is a big boy with a laid-back personality, as the staff work on bringing out his curiosity.

He does have a mild skin condition which requires weekly oatmeal shampoo baths, so a rat-savvy home would be ideal for Splinter.

The Nanaimo SPCA have reopened their doors to the public. You can still submit an application online and book an appointment if it’s a match, or stop by their Nanaimo location Tuesday-Sunday from noon until 4:00 p.m.
