‘It’s all not guilty:’ man facing several trials throughout Van Isle
NANAIMO — Facing seven trials this year and more than 20 charges laid against him, Shaun Dean Thicke maintains he hasn’t done anything wrong.
The 44-year-old is charged with 22 separate offences, including property crimes, assault, assaulting police officers, publishing an intimate image without consent and numerous driving infractions for alleged incidents on mid and north Vancouver Island.
Most of the charges involve alleged offences occurring since 2020 in Nanaimo, Parksville, Courtenay, Port Hardy and most recently earlier this year in the Alberni Valley.
Thicke is charged with two sets of charges for alleged incidents early this year in Port Alberni, including two counts of possessing stolen property under $5,000 and possessing/using a stolen credit card.
