UPDATE — An amber alert for two missing children and their mother has been deactived by BC RCMP.

Police advise Dawn Bellamy and her children Lucas and Myra were found in Ontario, two days after being last seen in Fort St. John.

“The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) confirmed that they had located the vehicle and the four individuals in Kenora, Ontario, just east of Manitoba,” Sgt. Chris Manseau said in a release. “The man [Jason Dalrymple] was taken into custody. The mother and her two children are safe and receiving support.

Manseau added Dalrymple remains in custody and has charges pending.

“We would like to thank our law enforcement partners in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario who where instrumental in finding everyone so quickly,” Manseau added. “They extended the Amber Alert in their provinces, followed up on TIPS and conducted searches.”

The Amber Alert system was launched in B.C. in 2004 according to the RCMP, with a 100 per cent success rate.
