Active cases in Island Health near unchanged as B.C. sees curve flattening
NANAIMO — A minimal change in active cases for Island Health.
A further 62 cases were confirmed by Island Health on Wednesday, Sept. 8, including 30 in the central Island. Six were based in the north of the health authority while the remaining 26 were south of the Malahat.
Active cases increased by just one, to 385, with the central Island area accounting for 163.
According to the BC CDC, 18 people are hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 symptoms including 12 requiring critical care.
