SQUAMISH, B.C. — The owners of a gondola in Squamish, B.C., that was vandalized for the second time in just over a year are offering a $250,000 reward.

Sea to Sky Gondola says the money will go to those who help find the person responsible for cutting the gondola cable on Sept. 14 and on Aug. 10, 2019.

Both incidents happened overnight when no one was on the gondola.

No one was hurt in either incident.

However, the company had to replace many of the cars that smashed to the ground when the cable was severed last year, only to have to do same thing after the latest crime.

The RCMP say they’re working on both investigations, but won’t release further details to ensure the integrity of the investigation.

A statement from police says the information from those wanting to claim the reward must lead to an arrest and conviction.
