Nanaimo kettle campaign kicks off with $550,000 goal
NANAIMO — A staple of the holiday season has returned.
The annual Salvation Army kettle campaign kicked off Wednesday, Nov. 20 with a luncheon. Starting Friday, hundreds of volunteers will be on street corners, in front of shops and standing at malls collecting donations
Local officer-in-charge Robin Burrows told NanaimoNewsNOW their goal is roughly $550,000, inline with what was received in 2018.
“We know Nanaimo citizens will step up and help us out because they believe in what we do,” he said.
