NANAIMO — Sin City has been kind to a pair of Nanaimo Minor Hockey grads.

The NHL's Las Vegas Golden Knights announced they signed goaltender Dylan Ferguson, 19, to a three-year, entry level contract.

The Lantzville and Kamloops Blazer product was the winning goaltender in a 9-4 Vegas victory over the host Vancouver Canucks in a pre-season game on Sept. 17.

Ferguson signed eight days after defenseman Dylan Coghlan of Nanaimo inked an entry level contract with Vegas.

Ferguson was acquired from the Dallas Stars three days after he was selected in the seventh round, 194th overall in the June 26 NHL entry draft.

He had impressive numbers as a backup goalie in Kamloops in his second campaign as a Blazer last season with a 16-10-2 record, 2.74 GAA and 0.922 save percentage.
