NANAIMO — Two alleged criminals are back on RCMP’s radar after failing to appear at court.

Warrants have been issued for 22-year-old Kayman Winter and 24-year-old Corey LeBlanc. They were to appear at Nanaimo Provincial Court on Jan. 10 to answer for using and possessing fake credit cards, but never arrived.

Both suspects were arrested for an incident back on Dec. 5.

According to Nanaimo RCMP, they tried to purchase more than $1,100 of merchandise at the Home Hardware in Brooks Landing Mall using a fake credit card and fled the scene after being discovered. Their license plate was recorded and police located the two a short time later.

At the time, Winter, LeBlanc and a 43-year-old female were arrested. When the car was searched, RCMP said numerous credit cards, stolen ID and laptops were found which were linked by police to other fraudulent crimes in Nanaimo.

RCMP said the 43-year-old woman has complied with the conditions of her bail and there is no warrant for her arrest.

Winter is described as Indigenous, 5’11”, 170 lbs. with short black hair, brown eyes and tattoos of faces on his right forearm and a cross on his upper left arm.

LeBlanc is described as white, 6’1”, 150 lbs. with short blonde hair and blue eyes and a tattoo of a skull on his upper right arm and letters tattooed on his right hand.

RCMP said both are presumed to be in the Lower Mainland.

If anyone has information on their whereabouts, they’re urged to contact Nanaimo RCMP or Crimestoppers.
