VICTORIA — Mexican officials say charges are pending against a man in connection to the fatal stabbing of a Canadian.
The Yucatan attorney general says the victim was stabbed repeatedly with a kitchen knife on Sunday, while he was with the suspect and one other person.
Friends and family have identified the man who died as 48-year-old vacationer Roger Corbett, who owned a painting business in Victoria.
Global Affairs Canada says Mexican police arrested a Canadian following Corbett’s death.
