Random Act of Kindness Day aims to spread good will
NANAIMO – It’s a good day to make kindness a priority.
It’s Random Act of Kindness Day, where you’re encouraged to take note of something positive done for you and then pay it forward. Laurie Bienert of the Nanaimo Foundation says it doesn’t have to be a grand gesture.
“That’s the beauty of it. It can be something very simple,” said Bienert. “It doesn’t have to cost you anything. You could help tutor a student, could hold a door for somebody or if you’re wanting to spend a little money, buy coffee for your co-workers.”
Bienert says they have a list of 101 ideas for paying it forward on the Nanaimo Foundation Facebook page.
