$20M Lotto 6/49 ticket sold in Nanaimo

NANAIMO — Somebody who bought a lottery ticket in Nanaimo suddenly has a stunning amount of money at their disposal.

The national Lotto 6/49 draw Wednesday evening saw a ticket sold in Nanaimo have all six numbers matched correctly for a jaw-dropping payout of $19,813,000.

The winning numbers were 3-17-21-29-47-49.

The ticket purchased in Nanaimo was the lone top prize winner, while a ticket bought in Powell River, B.C., is worth $43,000 after five drawn numbers were correctly selected.

The harbour city has seen its share of big lottery winners in recent memory.
