Man charged with robbing three Nanaimo banks in 2018
NANAIMO — A man accused of robbing three Nanaimo banks this year, including two last week alone, is back in custody facing new charges.
Court documents showed Daniel William Harlow, 46, was charged in connection with robberies at the TD Canada Trust on Dufferin Cres. on Thursday, Nov. 1 and the north Nanaimo CIBC location on Monday, Oct. 29.
Harlow, who was arrested after the Thursday evening robbery when a taxi he was in was pulled over in downtown Nanaimo, was also charged with uttering threats and breaching a pair of court-ordered conditions.
Court records showed Harlow was arrested three days prior to the CIBC robbery for allegedly obstructing a peace officer and breaching conditions. He was also arrested on Oct. 11, according to court records.
