Parksville’s lone ambulance hall could see future growth

PARKSVILLE — Parksville’s new and larger $1.4-million ambulance station could eventually end up with increased staffing levels.

That according to the director of patient care delivery for the island district for the B.C. Ambulance Service, Lance Stephenson.

He says Parksville’s only ambulance hall on the Alberni Highway behind the Oceanside Health Centre sets them up well for future growth.

“Because of the size being bigger, we can actually house or staff more people at this location,” says Stephenson, who’s based in Parksville.
