“Accessible pathways and sidewalks provide safe, direct connections among the parking area, building entrances, and site amenities, supporting mobility for wheelchair and scooter users,” Kumar’s presentation added.

The Panel gave their approval to the project, offering 16 recommendations for developers to consider ahead of permit application.

A vast majority were relatively minor adjustments to colours or massing on the exterior, however the panel did suggest covered temporary bike parking, lighted bollards along the accessible pathways, and additional wayfinding signage to and from parking areas.

City Council will consider a development permit for the site at a later date.
