Tropical Storm Marie strengthens into a hurricane in the Pacific Ocean
LIVINGSTON, Texas (AP) — Tropical Storm Marie strengthened into a hurricane Wednesday evening in the Pacific Ocean, the National Hurricane Center said.
Hurricane Marie was located about 375 miles (600 kilometers) southwest of the southern tip of Baja California.
Maximum sustained winds were around 80 mph (130 kph), according to an advisory from the Miami-based hurricane center.
