HGTV work begins at Harbour Quay

While many people are still buzzing about yesterday’s HGTV announcement that Port Alberni will be the focus of their Hometown Takeover, contractors are beginning work on some of the selected properties.

Immediately after yesterday’s celebration at the Harbour Quay, the city announced that a few businesses there would be closing for the summer as HGTV renovates the Marine Building.

Owners of the famous Donut Shop said Wednesday June 10th will be their last day as they will be shutting down for the summer to allow the work to happen.

Show hosts Bryan and Sarah Baeumler along with Erin and Ben Napier will be surprising a homeowner sometime this week, letting them know their home has been selected for a makeover.
