NANAIMO –  As we edge closer to spring, the housing market is beginning to heat up

In February, 70 single-family homes sold in Nanaimo, up seventy per cent from the January and up fifteen per cent from the previous year. Active listings of single-family homes on the Mid-Island were 988 in February, on par with the previous year.

The average sale price for a single-family home in Nanaimo was $856,972 in February, up five per cent previous month, and three per cent above February 2025.

• Nanaimo’s benchmark sits at $807,200, on par with last month and last year.
• Campbell River’s benchmark price for single-family homes was $674,900, on par with the previous year.
• Comox Valley’s benchmark price is on par with last year’s price and sits at $834,300.
• Cowichan Valley reported a benchmark price of $756,800, on par with February 2025.
• The Parksville-Qualicum area is four per cent above last year at a benchmark price of $906,500
• Port Alberni’s benchmark sits at $507,100, which is three per cent below last year’s number.
• The North Island area is on par with last year at a benchmark price of $441,600.
