$900,000 increase over 2025

ACRD presents 5-year financial plan

The Alberni – Clayoquot Regional District presented its 5 year financial plan.

Chief Financial Officer Teri Fong says different areas will be seeing differing tax increases.

“Our plan is approximately $38.8 million this year. The tax of the componant of that plan is about $13.6 million, around $900,000 more than last year so as an organization as a whole we are about 7.32% higher than the previous year,” she said. “That ranges from area to area, depending on what services are provided in your region.”

Beaver Creek will see their taxes increase by 3.6% while Cherry Creek faces a 4.7% hike.

Sproat Lake will see a 7.3% uptick while Port Alberni sees the largest increase at 9.2%

The 2026-2030 financial plan has to be adopted by March 31st.
