Seguin-Lescarbeau and Rimmer lead Clippers to Teddy Bear Toss win

NANAIMO — Two Clippers rose to the forefront on Teddy Bear Toss night at Frank Crane Arena.

Jack Rimmer had the Teddy Bear Toss goal and added another while Eliot Seguin-Lescarbeau stopped all 41 shots he faced in a 2-0 win over the Surrey Eagles.

Rimmer’s first goal was a on a five on three power play in the second period and his later tally was a shot to the top corner four minutes into the final frame.

Seguin-Lescarbeau was strong all game long but made his most impressive saves in a 19 shot first period and a 16 shot third.

He is now the BCHL’s shutout leader with four.

Overall the Eagles outshot the Clippers 41-33 with Nanaimo going 1/4 on the man advantage and 3/3 killing penalties.

The Clippers snapped a three game losing streak with the victory and will take to the road on Tuesday, Dec. 16 to play the Coastal West Division leading Cowichan Valley Capitals.
