Clippers drop home contest to Silverbacks

Oct 11, 2025 | 5:24 AM

NANAIMO — The Clippers lost just their second game in regulation time this season with a 4-1 home ice setback versus Salmon Arm.

The Silverbacks opened the scoring on a deflection goal by Jaden Johnson in the first period before Elliot Perreault tied the score for Nanaimo in the middle frame.

A Salmon Arm goal by Anthony Cardilli with two seconds left in the second was a critical goal that put the Silverbacks up to stay.

Tanner Walos and Keifer Miller added tallies in the final 20 minutes to secure a Salmon Arm win.

Walos scored on the man advantage on one of three third period Silverbacks power plays.

The shots on goal were 36-25 for Salmon Arm with Nanaimo going 0/2 on the power play and 3/4 killing penalties.

Goalie Elliot Seguin-Lescarbeau took the loss against Daniel Dirracolo.

Nanaimo now plays six consecutive games on the road including a pair of games at the BCHL Showcase on Oct. 13 against Okotoks and Oct. 14 versus Trail.
