Four men charged with murder in targeted Surrey, B.C., shooting
SURREY, B.C. — Police say the four men arrested Friday after a fatal shooting in Surrey, B.C., have been charged with first-degree murder.
Surrey RCMP say investigators believe the shooting was targeted even though the victim had no history of police contact.
Police say 28-year-old Yuvraj Goyal was found dead in a residential area in south Surrey after officers were called to the area to investigate a shooting Friday morning.
They say four suspects in their early 20s were arrested hours after the shooting, when a vehicle fire was reported in another part of south Surrey and triggered a “quick co-ordinated response.”
