Clippers survive power play onslaught to beat Chilliwack 3-2
NANAIMO — The Clippers fought through nine opposition power plays and 45 shots against to stun the Chilliwack Chiefs 3-2.
Nanaimo earned a 1-0 lead on a Jake Hewitt rebound goal in the first seven minutes of the game.
The Chiefs opened the second period with a pair of power play goals by Abram Wiebe and Mason Kesselring.
Kesselring’s tally came on an extended five on three for Chilliwack.
