Toronto’s Sadovsky drops from first to sixth at figure skating GP event

SHEFFIELD, United Kingdom — Toronto’s Roman Sadovsky finished in sixth place after struggling through Saturday’s men’s free skate at the MK John Wilson Trophy, a stop on the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating.

Sadovsky entered the free skate in first place after scoring 89.49 points in Friday’s short program.

But the Canadian finished a disappointing eighth in the free skate, dropping him to sixth with a total of 219.35 points.

Italy’s Daniel Grassl, second after the short program, topped the free skate and won the competition with 264.35 points.
