Three long-term care COVID-19 outbreaks declared over in Nanaimo, Parksville
NANAIMO — Island Health has confirmed three COVID-19 outbreaks at long-term care facilities on the mid-Island are now over.
Dufferin Place was added to Island Health’s outbreak list on Jan. 13, however operations have now returned to normal after a total of 43 resident and two staff cases.
Woodgrove Manor long-term care home saw nine of its residents and six staff test positive, with their outbreak being announced by the health authority on Jan. 27.
Parksville’s Arrowsmith Lodge is the third in the region to come off Island Health’s list after eight resident and 17 staff cases were identified since Jan. 21.
