No charge as yet from Kelowna homicide
KELOWNA, B.C. — RCMP have confirmed the death of a man in Kelowna this week was a homicide, but it’s not known if any charges will result from the incident.
The unidentified man’s body was found in a home in the 600 block of Bechard Road on the morning of Monday, Oct. 18. A woman was arrested at the scene in connection with the investigation.
RCMP say the suspect, a 54-year-old woman from Kelowna, was released without charge the next day. The woman was subsequently apprehended under the Mental Health Act.
The Kelowna RCMP Serious Crimes Unit have submitted their initial investigative findings to the B.C. Prosecution Service for review and charge approval.
