Okanagan wildfire now ‘being held,’ evacuation order lifted

WEST KELOWNA, B.C. – There is good news for residents in the area of the Brenda Creek wildfire west of Peachland.

The Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen has lifted an evacuation order for 41 properties.

That fire, which started July 14, is now classified by the BC Wildfire Service as being held.

The size is estimated at 824 hectares.
