Shelter-in-place order issued for Snuneymuxw First Nation as COVID-19 spreads
NANAIMO — A shelter-in-place order is now in effect in Snuneymuxw First Nation after several COVID-19 cases were confirmed.
A letter from SFN chief Mike Wyse on Friday, Jan. 1 confirmed five positive cases.
The first was announced on Wednesday, Dec. 30.
Of the four new cases, two are within the same household.
