Spider Lake man arrested after pointing a gun during a confrontation

NANAIMO — Oceanside RCMP arrested a Spider Lake man for escalating an argument by pointing a gun at someone.

The incident happened on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at a job site on Lee Rd. in Parksville just after 1 p.m. The 29-year-old man entered the job site and got into a fight with an employee.

“The man then proceeded to grab a gun from his truck, cocked it and pointed it at the complainant,” a release from Oceanside RCMP said.

The man then quickly left in his truck. Police tracked him to his Spider Lake residence and arrested the man who could now face the charge of pointing a firearm.
