Westjet’s Nanaimo to Vancouver flight now suspended until early July

NANAIMO — A normally busy twice daily flight from Nanaimo to Vancouver will continue to be grounded.

WestJet announced on Monday, May 11 the twice daily Nanaimo to Vancouver flight won’t be back in the air until July 4. It was previously suspended until early June.

Service between Nanaimo and Calgary is still operational, running three flights a week on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.

It is now one of the only flights leaving the Nanaimo Airport, after Air Canada grounded their Nanaimo-Calgary route on March 23.
