Clippers weekend wrap Jan. 24-25
NANAIMO – With ten games left in the BCHL season, earning second place in the Island Division is looking like more of a reality for the Nanaimo Clippers.
The team is nine points back of the Cowichan Valley in the standings after a weekend split with the Langley Rivermen and Cowichan Valley Capitals.
In their game against the Rivermen, the Clippers got out to leads of 2-0 and 3-2 on the strength of three goals from Liam Ryan.
Langley sent the game to overtime but Steven Agriogianis played hero with a wrist shot to the glove side early in OT to make the final score 4-3 for Nanaimo.
