Clippers lose 6-4 to hard working Kings
NANAIMO — The Clippers had a fast start and a furious finish to their game with Powell River on Sunday, but for most of the day the Kings were the better team.
Nanaimo lost 6-4, but at one point gave up six consecutive goals the their division rivals.
Matt Creamer put the Clippers on the board in the first period, only to have Tristan Mullin and Carter Turnbull snatch the lead away with two goals in a two minute span.
A power play goal in the first minute of the second by Jonny Evans put Powell River up 3-1, and it stayed that way through 40 minutes with Nanaimo only managing 10 shots on goal.
