Clippers name veteran forward new team captain
NANAIMO — The Clippers have announced Miller Kay will be their captain for the 2026-27 season.
The 20-year-old joined the club in late January and finished the season with 11 points in 23 games. He was also a big part of the Clippers’ playoff success with 13 points in 21 appearances, including a crucial overtime goal in Nanaimo’s third-round series versus Prince George.
Kay was honoured to learn he had been chosen for the captaincy.
“I’m super excited and blessed, and I’m thrilled at the task of leading the team, hopefully as successfully as last year.”
