NANAIMO — Southbound traffic on the Trans Canada Hwy., south of the city, has been closed following a two-vehicle collision.
A motorcycle and SUV collided near the Nanaimo River Rd. turnoff on Hwy. 1 just after 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, resulting in an unknown number of injuries.
Both southbound lanes of the highway were closed, while one northbound lane was also blocked off to allow responding emergency crews space to work.
An air ambulance landed on scene around 10:50 a.m.
