Clippers 2026-27 BCHL schedule released

Jul 8, 2026 | 11:59 AM

NANAIMO — Next season’s full BCHL schedule has been released, with the puck dropping on the Nanaimo Clippers regular season on Friday Sept. 18 at Frank Crane Arena against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.

The Clippers will have 26 home dates, 26 away games, and two yet-to-be-announced contests at the BCHL Showcase.

Fridays will be the most common home nights for Nanaimo, with 15 game days.

There will be five Saturday evening home games, four on Sunday afternoons, and two on Wednesdays.

All Friday and Saturday night home games start at 7 p.m., while the puck drops on Sunday games at Frank Crane Arena at 2 p.m.

Some of the highlights on the schedule include the first road contest of the year against the division rival Cowichan Valley Capitals, and the first-ever visit to Nanaimo by the Blackfalds Bulldogs in September.

The Clippers visit Sherwood Park and Okotoks in mid-October, and although not official yet, it’s likely the team’s BCHL Showcase games will also be in Alberta and tie into that trip.

Nanaimo will host another first game against an Alberta team when Spruce Grove comes to town in November.

Their only other extended road trip is up to Prince George at the end of February.

Ten of Nanaimo’s final 18 games will be at Frank Crane Arena, including a school day matinee on Wednesday, March 3 at 11 a.m.

Typically, the Clippers have a couple of trips against Interior foes, but they will not play any teams from the Interior West Division, including long-standing opponents like Trail, Vernon and Salmon Arm.

Nanaimo will once again play in a five-team Coastal West Division with Alberni Valley, Cowichan Valley, Victoria and Powell River.

The club is looking to pick up where they left off after an appearance in the BCHL Finals back in May.

It was the Clippers’ tenth time in the league championship series, with the last Nanaimo title coming in 2007.
